Flying or not flying
This video from Elanguest shows you vocabulary on the topic of airports and flying. Just sit down and relax before “taking off”.
Now you can read a list of these and more expressions on SaberInglés and useful English phrases at the airport on Teacher Joe
and do exercises about vocabulary related to airport and travel:
Exercise 1 – Quiz
Exercise 2 – Quiz
Exercise 3 – Check in conversation.
Exercise 4 - Airline Announcements: listen to some typical public announcements made in an airport or airplane.
Then try watching this video about the effects of the Icelandic volcanic eruption on air traffic and later you can do the listening task.
After the listening activity, you might want to do some reading about flying to… the Moon
or maybe about a much more earthly place: Heathrow Airport
Finally, and just for fun, just by watching the first seconds of the video below you can find the answer to one the questions we have been dealing with these days :
Are some airports more dangerous than others?
I hope watching this has not put you off travelling by plane, so have a good flight!
