A meeting point for you and me

Today is Black Friday and… Buy Nothing Day!

The day after Thanksgiving is known as Black Friday in America because most families begin their Christmas shopping frenzy during this holiday weekend. However, today is also Buy Nothing Day, a day to remember that excessive consumerism is not good  either for us as individuals or for our planet.

The idea behind Buy Nothing Day is to spend a whole day without shopping to protest against over-consumption and its inevitable damaging effect in the environment.

Would you chance spending a whole day out without shopping? What would you do?
